Everything about Persona and Video Files
Persona accepts AVI files for video playback. The AVI file's audio is stripped when imported, but you can import WAV and MP3 files for Timeline implementation. The following information goes over everything you will need to know for the successful import and use of AVI files.
Playing AVI Files in the Compix Persona Software
Please insert the AVI files as Image Objects. To do this, go to [Insert] > [Image Object]. Select the video file and open. When playing the video, make sure your Page Mode is set to [Animation]. To preview the video file within the Timeline, make sure the Timeline is active by clicking on the [Animation] button to the left of the screen. By inserting AVI files as an Image Object, you can manipulate its size, hue, and other settings through the Transform tab.
Playing AVI Files with the HD Codecs Option
You can insert and play AVI files in one of two ways: as a Background or as an Image Object. For use as a background, you can only use Matrox codec based AVI clips, as it uses the Matrox hardware to play out. HD videos should only be played in the background.
To play videos in the background, right click on your canvas and select [Set Background]. Select the video file and insert. Afterwards, select [Show Background] under the Page tab. When playing the video, make sure your Page Mode is set to [Animation]. To preview the video file within the Timeline, make sure the Timeline is active by selecting the [Animation] button to the left of the screen.
To play videos as an Image Object, go to [Insert] > [Image Object]. Select the video file and open. When playing the video, make sure your Page Mode is set to [Animation].
