After connecting the system either downstream or upstream of your switcher, you will be greeted by GenCG, an extremely straightforward application used for graphic creation and play output.
Many educational institutions receive training on our products. With just a single hour of training, you can be on your way to teaching your CG class. If you would like one of our trained technicians to spend the day with you, we would be more than happy to participate on site. - Compix offers a completely free educational program called GenCG-RS (Remote Student) for any accredited educational institution, regardless of when your system was purchased. If you enroll in the program, Compix will give you a master activation code to use freely. Install an edit version of GenCG and use it for graphics creation and playback. The software can be installed on any PC, on or off campus, and be used by both students and staff.
- You're production studio doesn't have to be used for CG creation anymore. Instead, have students create graphics at home then load them into the CG when it's due. Rest at ease knowing your studio will be free from students using it late into the night and for last minute edits. The GenCG-RS software gives anyone the capability to create, open, save, and run CG files. View files in one of two ways: as a pop-up window in the foreground or through your second VGA monitor. When your work is complete, export your pages with all their images and animations into a single file format. Receive the flexibility you deserve with a dual channel Compix system.- Compix has both single and dual channel systems, but the latter really gives you the icing on the cake. The flexibility and intuitive nature of a single channel system provides immediate responsive graphics that can play out in multiple ways. Add a second channel to the mix and your ceiling of creativity just skyrocketed. With two channels, you can create and run all of your standard lower thirds and full-page graphics as well as display multiple animated logos, tickers, a clock, and other graphics. If you would like to use the second channel for other purposes or events, not to worry; you can completely reconfigure your second channel because it's independent. Connect it through another DSK on your switcher or connect it downstream. Compix supports just about any connectivity between your studio equipment and your CG.

St. Louis' Clayton High School Upgrades Studio to HD with Compix ConverG1 HD
IRVINE, California - Compix Media Inc. -- The Compix ConverG1 HD system is the cornerstone of a complete HD studio upgrade for Clayton High School's Video Student Production class. The integration of the ConverG1 HD to their studio is a great addition to their school's TV station: Greyhound News Network (GNN).
At sporting events, student members of the Video Student Production class are tasked with capturing live footage and using the Compix system for creating game graphics and inserting logos. Part of the class also tasks students with creating bulletin board graphics for their daily announcements, which are aired to TV monitors in each class room on campus.
Mrs. Stricker, a first year teacher for the Video Student Production class, is looking forward to implementing the Compix as their graphics generator. "Although the Compix Character Generator is new to us, I believe it will be an easy transition from what the class was using the past couple of years. The CG software is very user friendly."
