Instant On-screen Graphics at the Press of a Button

Compix QuickShot™ is a 1-RU Remote Button Panel that is pre-integrated with Compix AutoCast software. QuickShot™ integrates perfectly with any new or existing Compix system.

Available in both 8 and 16 button versions, Compix QuickShot™ gives users access to multiple graphics on a remote Compix system without having to log on to a PC with a monitor, keyboard and mouse. It is perfectly designed for Master Control installations where space is always an issue. Buttons can be easily configured to quickly recall a particular template from the Compix system.

Using the intelligent interface, you can rapidly program a button to update dynamic text or graphics by having QuickShot™ automatically filling out a selected template with text from a specific document within a watch file or live data source. In a school environment, for example, this functionality allows a non-technical administrator to update a list of school closings and, with a single button press, create a template-based graphic that’s up-to-date and ready for air. In sporting events, a single button press on the QuickShot™ panel can change the text in a graphic from ‘In Play’ to ‘Time Out’ – without having to touch the Compix user interface. Set buttons to trigger actions to reveal your station’s bug, or a severe weather alert. You can house QuickShot™ in your newsroom to allow producers to trigger a breaking news crawl at a time of day when graphics staff may be unavailable.

Operating the Compix QuickShot™ requires absolutely no training. After your graphics staff have finished defining which graphics go with which buttons, anybody in your facility will be able to load, update and trigger graphics.

You can operate the Compix QuickShot™ panel via AutoCast on any Compix system in one of two ways. First, you can program the buttons to create and/or load individual pages for an on-demand playback through the intelligent interface. This is great for pre-programmed emergency alerts or bulletin boards. Second, you can program the QuickShot™ panel for complete create and playback control. You have the ability to play, stop, pause and more all without having to use the Windows interface.

QuickShot™ is connected to any Compix system via Ethernet. Users can open an internet browser, type in the IP address of the QuickShot™ panel and pop up the control and configuration menu. No programming experience is necessary.

Simply type in or modify pre-defined commands for each button which will immediately correspond to the designated graphic or function in the Compix system. All initial configuration is done by Compix at the factory using a default layout. Each button that is programmed will recall a particular prebuilt template and automatically fill out that template with text from a specific document, or data feeds from websites, URL’s and other live data sources.
