Compix is not new to the world of sports. In 1988, the whole world watched as Compix character generators successfully displayed the graphics for the '88 Olympic Games in South Korea. Two years earlier, on our founding year, we provided 18 character generators for the '86 Seoul Asian Games. We weren’t well-known back then, but that kind of attention enabled us to grow into the accomplished broadcast graphics company we are now.
As 2011 marks our 25th anniversary, we scrounged around the office for memorabilia and managed to find a newspaper clipping regarding our humble beginnings. We here at Compix would love to share our nostalgia with you, so we’ve provided the article for your enjoyment.

It was recently announced that the 2018 Winter Olympics will be held in South Korea, which will mark 30 years since the ’88 Olympic Games. We are very excited as this presents new opportunities to our partners in Korea. Perhaps Compix can show the world again what we’re capable of.
