VirtualOverlays  A new way of thinking about channels.

The VirtualOverlay™ technology, among other things, is what makes Compix Persona so unique and forward-thinking. It has expanded the potential of a single channel system to encompass that which six channels can produce.

Each page in Compix Persona’s playlist has an option for changing its VirtualOverlay™. The default VirtualOverlay™ plays out as any typical playlist would on-air while the other five can be brought on and off independently. These act as layered pages, overlapping each other in real time before outputting through a single channel. Every page allows for its own animation timeline, unlimited amount of object layers, and 3D capability, no matter which VirtualOverlay™ is selected.

Essentially, this is like having six physical channels connected to a switcher, all rolled into one channel on one Compix Persona system. The VirtualOverlay™ feature cuts down on the need for multiple systems and frees up space on the switcher for other input signals.

This innovative technology should feel very familiar if you’ve used our Classic line of products. Compix has in no way sacrificed the ease-of-use we are known for from our new generation product. Take as an example the included LiveAction™ keyboard. All VirtualOverlays™ are controllable through this keyboard, which has been color coded and clearly labeled as a quick reference to important keys.

compixPersonaCompix Persona is a powerful system with sophisticated features, like VirtualOverlays™, that any broadcaster can use. The 2D and 3D graphic creation and timeline for animations are incredibly easy to use and add a sense of professionalism for your broadcasting graphics. With multiple playback options, pages can be brought on and off air instantaneously, ever increasing the speed it takes to edit and cut in new information. Compix’s dedication to quality, ease of use, and common-sense affordability makes this next generation turnkey system so versatile.
